Visit the Center

The Bahá’í Center of Philadelphia, located at 2462 Bryn Mawr Avenue in the East Falls neighborhood, is a welcoming space open to all. Originally built in the early 20th century, the Center has served the Philadelphia Bahá’í community for decades as a gathering place for prayer, study, fellowship, and service. The building is wheelchair accessible, with ample street parking nearby. Whether you’re attending an event, exploring the library, or simply curious about the Faith — you are warmly invited to visit.

The Library

The Bahá’í Center houses a library of over 2,000 books on the Bahá’í Faith, comparative religion, philosophy, social issues, and more. The library is open every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and at other times by appointment. Books may be borrowed for up to three weeks. For questions or to schedule a visit, contact our librarian James Tichenor.

The Bahá’í Center is home to a wide range of activities that are open to everyone. From devotional gatherings and study circles to holy day celebrations, community gatherings, and children’s classes — there is always something happening at the Center. Archives

The Philadelphia Bahá’í Archives has collections including papers from Philadelphia Bahá’ís including Jessie and Ethel Revell, Isabella Brittingham, Clarence Fisher, and Helen Underhill. It also holds community annual reports, community history material, and photographs of Bahá’ís and community activities through the years. A number of membership lists from 1898 to 1948 are also in the library for ease of access.
